Interim Code of Conduct proposed by 2024-25 FTAA Board of Directors and approved by Special General Assembly on November 17, 2024, to be used as a primary guide until this or an alternative framework is formally incorporated into FTAA By-Laws by Annual General Assembly typically held every February.
Purpose:
The Florida Turkish American Association (FTAA) is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative community where every member feels safe and valued.
Behavioral Expectations:
Treat everyone with respect and courtesy.
Communicate honestly and avoid spreading misinformation.
Raise concerns constructively through appropriate channels.
Act in good faith to support the association’s goals and events.
Unacceptable Behavior:
Bullying, harassment, or intimidation of any kind.
Malicious gossip, false accusations, or defamation.
Disrupting meetings, events, or decision-making processes.
Undermining the community’s goals or values.
Accountability Process:
First Incident: Verbal reminder.
Second Incident: Written warning.
Third Incident: Temporary suspension pending timely review.
Reporting: Submit concerns to contact@backup.ftaa.com. All issues will be addressed with fairness, neutrality, and confidentiality.
